Microstrip patch antenna with metamaterial using superstrate technique for wireless communication

چکیده
This work builds a metamaterial (MTM) superstrate loaded on patch of microstrip antenna for wireless communications. The MTM is made up four G-shaped resonators FR-4 substrate with relative permittivity 4.4 and has total area (8×16) mm2, higher than the patch. increases gain while also raising input reflection coefficient. When it 9 mm above patch, increased from 3.28 dB to 6.02 dB, when 7 coefficient was enhanced -31.217 -45.8 dB. compared traditional unloaded antenna, discovered that metamaterials have lot potential improving performance.
